American Football Australia launches the official AFA app
American Football Australia (AFA) has launched the AFA app, powered by PlayHQ - giving players, parents and fans one place to find competitions, follow their team and keep track of fixtures across the season.
The app is free to download on the App Store and Google Play and brings all your favourite data straight to your pocket.
Once you've signed in, search for your club or competition and follow it to see fixtures, results and ladders all in one place, along with any changes to game times or venues.
On the launch of the app, Wade Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of American Football Australia, said:
“Moving AFA onto PlayHQ gives players and parents one place for their season, and it gives us better data to plan the growth of the sport. We encourage everyone involved in the game to download the app and follow their team."
GETTING STARTED
Search American Football Australia in your app store and download the AFA app. If you already use PlayHQ for another sport, sign in with the same login. If you’re new to PlayHQ, create a profile.
FINDING COMPETITIONS
Tackle and flag competitions run by AFA's member state associations and affiliated clubs are listed on PlayHQ, which makes the AFA app the place to find what's on near you. Search by club or competition name, then open a competition to see its teams and fixtures.
REGISTERING FOR THE SEASON
To play, open your club page in the app and select Register, or use the registration link your club sends out. Full registration details are at americanfootball.org.au/registration.
