Under the PlayHQ system AFA's membership will be split into two components.National Insurance Fee ($33) Provides comprehensive coverage through the AFA national insurance program, including both Public Liability and Personal Accident insurance. Validity: 12 months National Competition Fee ($44 / $22) Contributes directly to the national administration, development, and operational management of AFA-sanctioned competitions and programs across Australia. Ages 13+: $44 Ages 12 & Under: $22 Validity: 6 months Key Inclusions: Membership under this structure covers eligibility and participation in all state and national programs endorsed by AFA for the subsequent 6-month period following registration.

In PlayHQ membership fees apply at the point a player registers, if the membership is required for that registration.In practice, PlayHQ checks the player's membership coverage when they register:No current membership $\rightarrow$ the membership fee is added to that registrationCurrent membership already covers the whole season $\rightarrow$ no renewal is addedCurrent membership expires before the season ends $\rightarrow$ a renewal is added so the player is covered for the full seasonMy Membership expires in 2026If your existing AFA Player Membership is due to expire before the end of 2026, you will be required to purchase the new membership at the time of registration in line with PlayHQ's system to ensure you remain current throughout the competition.My Membership expires in 2027If you have an AFA Player Membership with an expiry date into 2027, please email registrations@americanfootball.org.au to request a discount code to register for the upcoming season with your club.You will need to provide the following information which will be verified by AFA to qualify for the discount code:Your member number from Assemble (you can find this from within your payment receipts from the platform previously) or a copy of your payment receipt.Your full name and DOBThe club and competition details you are trying to register to in 2026 in PlayHQ

No, your existing login details will be valid across the PlayHQ platform. Once you have a registration link from your club, you can login using the same details you use in PlayHQ for other sports.
