2.2 These Terms constitute the entire terms of the Promotion and supersede any prior representation, whether written or oral.
2.3 The Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with the National Football League, any NFL member club, any manufacturer or retailer of the items comprising the Prize, or any social media platform on which the Promotion is promoted, including Meta Platforms, Inc., LinkedIn and TikTok. Each Entrant releases each of those parties from all liability in connection with the Promotion. Any question, comment or complaint concerning the Promotion must be directed to the Promoter and not to any of those parties.
3. Entry period
3.1 Entries open at 8.00am on Friday 11 September 2026 and close at 11.59pm on Monday 14 September 2026 ("the Entry Period").
3.2 Entries received outside the Entry Period will not be considered, irrespective of the cause of delay. The Promoter's server records are conclusive as to the time of receipt.

4.1 To be eligible to enter and to win, a person must, at the time of Entry:
(a) be a resident of Australia;
(b) not be a resident of Western Australia; and
(c) be 18 years of age or older.
4.2 A person may enter only on their own behalf. An Entry submitted on behalf of another person is invalid.
4.3 The following persons are not eligible to enter or to win: directors, officers, employees and contractors of AFA and of state and territory associations affiliated with AFA, and the immediate families of those persons, meaning a spouse, de facto partner, parent, child or sibling.
4.4 AFA membership is not required to enter.
5. Entries
5.1 Entries must be submitted through the online form at https://preview.mailerlite.io/forms/1624586/198266273264568219/share during the Entry Period.
5.2 A valid Entry must contain:
(a) the Entrant's full name, date of birth, email address, contact telephone number, state or territory of residence and postcode; and
(b) the Entrant's answer to the question on the entry form concerning their connection to American football, and their answer to the question concerning which code they are interested in.
5.3 The questions described at clause 5.2(b) are required in order to submit an Entry. Every answer offered on the entry form is a valid answer, including an answer indicating no interest in being involved in the sport. The answers given have no bearing on the outcome of the Draw. Answering those questions is not consent to receive marketing communications, which is dealt with separately at clause 14.4.
5.4 The Entrant must confirm the email address given in the Entry by responding to a confirmation message sent by the Promoter. An Entry with an unconfirmed email address is invalid and does not go into the Draw.
5.5 Entry is free. No purchase is necessary to enter or to win. No cost is charged for entry, and the Promoter does not charge any per-entry expense.
5.6 One Entry per person. Where more than one Entry is received from the same person, only the first Entry received goes into the Draw and all later Entries are void.
5.7 The Promoter may reject any Entry that is incomplete, illegible or ineligible.
5.8 The Promoter may require an Entrant to provide proof of identity, age or residency to the Promoter's reasonable satisfaction. Where such proof is not provided within the time specified by the Promoter, the Entry is invalid and the Entrant is ineligible.
5.9 Entrants must provide accurate and complete information. An Entry containing information that is inaccurate or incomplete is invalid.
5.10 An Entry is invalid where it is submitted by a script, macro, bot or other automated means, by bulk or coordinated entry, through a disposable, temporary or forwarding email address, or by any other method that in the Promoter's reasonable opinion circumvents clause 5.6. The Promoter may remove such Entries before the Draw without notice.
5.11 Entries become the property of the Promoter and will not be returned to the Entrant.
6. The draw
6.1 The Draw takes place at 10.00am on Monday 21 September 2026. The Draw is conducted online, from the offices of American Football Australia, NSW 2250, Australia.
6.2 Every valid Entry has an equal chance of being drawn.
6.3 The Draw is conducted electronically, by computerised random number generator applied to the pool of valid Entries. The Promoter determines which random number generator is used.
6.4 The first Entry drawn is the Winner. The Promoter will draw a further two Entries, in order, as reserve entries for the purposes of clause 7.
6.5 The Draw is witnessed by a director of the Promoter who is not otherwise involved in the conduct of the Promotion.
6.6 Entrants do not need to be present at the Draw.
6.7 Where an Entry is drawn that is subsequently found not to comply with these Terms, that Entry is set aside and the next reserve entry is treated as drawn in its place.
6.8 A written record of the Draw, including the date, time, place, method, the Entries drawn and the name of the witnessing director, is retained by the Promoter for a period of not less than three years after the Draw.
6.9 The decision of the Promoter on any matter concerning the conduct of the Draw is final, and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence in respect of it except as required by law or under clause 17.
7. Redraw and reserve entries
7.1 Where the Winner does not accept the Prize within the period at clause 11.2, cannot be readily identified or contacted, is found to be ineligible, or declines the Prize, the Winner forfeits the Prize and the Promoter will notify the holder of the first reserve entry by email.
7.2 The holder of a reserve entry must accept the Prize in writing within 72 hours of notification being sent. Clause 11 applies to the holder of a reserve entry as it applies to the Winner.
7.3 Where the holder of the first reserve entry forfeits, is ineligible or declines, the Promoter may notify the holder of the second reserve entry on the same basis and with the same acceptance period.
7.4 Where the reserve entries are exhausted, the Promoter may conduct a further draw from the remaining valid Entries on the same basis as clause 6, or may determine that the Prize is not awarded, in which case the Prize reverts to the Promoter and no Entrant has any claim in respect of it.
8. The Prize
8.1 The Prize consists of:
(a) one (1) replica NFL team jersey;
(b) one (1) NFL team cap; and
(c) one (1) American football.
8.2 The Prize has a total value of up to AUD $500. There is one Prize in total.
8.3 The Prize is awarded to the Winner, or to the holder of a reserve entry under clause 7.
8.4 The recipient may nominate the NFL team for the jersey and the cap at the time of acceptance. The jersey and the cap are supplied in that team's colours where available. Where the nominated team, the requested size, or a particular style, player name or number is not available to the Promoter at the time of ordering, the Promoter will contact the recipient to agree an alternative, and failing agreement within a reasonable period the Promoter will supply the closest available equivalent in its absolute discretion.
8.5 The brand, model, style, size range and specification of each item comprising the Prize are determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
8.6 The recipient must nominate a jersey size and a cap size at the time of acceptance. Sizes cannot be changed once the Prize has been ordered, and the Promoter does not offer exchanges or returns on the basis of fit.
8.7 An advertised item may be substituted only where the recipient agrees to the substitution in writing and the substituted item is of the same or greater value than the item it replaces.
8.8 The recipient does not incur any cost in accepting the Prize.
9. Exclusions
9.1 The Prize comprises the items listed at clause 8.1 only. It does not include, and the Promoter is under no obligation to provide or fund, any other merchandise, memorabilia, tickets, signed items, personalisation, customisation, framing, or any other item or service.
9.2 The Prize is not transferable, not exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash. The Prize must not be sold, offered for sale, auctioned or otherwise commercialised, and any such conduct results in forfeiture.
9.3 The recipient is responsible for any taxation consequences arising from receipt of the Prize and should seek independent advice where appropriate. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the Prize.
10. Delivery
10.1 The Promoter pays the cost of delivery of the Prize to a single delivery address within Australia nominated by the recipient at the time of acceptance.
10.2 The recipient must provide a valid Australian street address. The Promoter does not deliver to a post office box, a parcel locker or an address outside Australia.
10.3 The Prize will be transferred to the recipient within 28 days of the Draw.
10.4 Risk in the Prize passes to the recipient on delivery to the nominated address. Where an item is lost or damaged in transit, the Promoter's sole obligation is to pursue such remedy as is available from the carrier or supplier and, at its discretion, to replace the item where a replacement is available.
10.5 Where delivery fails because the address given is incorrect or incomplete, or because the recipient does not collect the item after a failed delivery attempt, the recipient is responsible for the cost of any redelivery.
10.6 Where the recipient does not provide a valid delivery address within 7 days of acceptance, the Prize is forfeited and clause 7 applies.
10.7 The Promoter may withdraw the Prize, or require its return, where the recipient engages in conduct that is unlawful, or that in the Promoter's reasonable opinion brings or is likely to bring the Promoter, the Promotion or American football in Australia into disrepute.
11. Notification and acceptance
11.1 The Promoter will notify the Winner in writing, by email, shortly after the Draw, to the email address confirmed under clause 5.4. Notification will be given by email only.
11.2 The Winner must accept the Prize in writing, by reply email to the address from which notification is sent, within 72 hours of notification being sent. Acceptance given in any other form, including verbally by telephone, is not sufficient.
11.3 Acceptance must include the team nominated under clause 8.4, the sizes nominated under clause 8.6, and the delivery address required under clause 10.2.
11.4 Notification is effective when sent, not when read. A failure to monitor the email address given in the Entry does not extend the period at clause 11.2. No extension will be granted.
11.5 Where acceptance is not received within the period at clause 11.2, or the Winner is found to be ineligible, the Prize passes under clause 7.
11.6 The recipient must provide valid identification to the Promoter on request. Failure to do so results in forfeiture of the Prize at the Promoter's discretion.
11.7 It is a condition of receiving the Prize that the recipient may be required to sign a release in a form determined by the Promoter.
12. Announcement
12.1 The recipient's given name, initial of surname and state or territory will be published at
https://www.americanfootball.org.au/scantowin and the publication will remain available for a period of not less than 28 days.
13. Publicity
13.1 By submitting an Entry, the Entrant consents to the publication of their given name, initial of surname and state or territory in connection with the Promotion, in the event they are drawn.
13.2 The recipient agrees to participate in reasonable publicity in connection with the Promotion, including interview and photography. Participation is not a condition of receipt of the Prize.
14. Privacy
14.1 The Promoter collects personal information for the purposes of administering the Promotion, conducting the Draw, verifying eligibility, contacting the Winner and any reserve entry holder, and delivering the Prize. Entries cannot be processed without the information required by clause 5.2.
14.2 The Promoter also collects the information described at clause 5.2(a) and 5.2(b) concerning postcode, connection to American football and code interest for the purposes of its functions as the national sporting organisation for American football in Australia, being to understand where in Australia interest in playing, coaching, officiating and volunteering exists, and to plan the development of the sport accordingly. Where the Entrant has given consent under clause 14.4, the Promoter also uses that information to send the Entrant information relevant to their stated interests.
14.3 Personal information is collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Promoter's privacy policy at https://www.americanfootball.org.au/privacy.
14.4 Consent to receive marketing communications is optional and is not a condition of entry. Consent is given by ticking a separate box on the entry form, which is not pre-ticked, and is confirmed by the Entrant responding to a confirmation message. An Entrant who does not give consent has the same chance in the Draw as one who does, and will receive only messages necessary to administer the Promotion. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
14.5 The Promoter may disclose the recipient's name, delivery address and contact details to a supplier or carrier for the purposes of delivering the Prize.
14.6 Personal information of Entrants who do not consent to marketing communications is retained only for so long as is necessary to administer the Promotion and to meet the record keeping obligations at clauses 6.8 and 18.3, and is then deleted. The Promoter may retain de-identified aggregate information, including counts by postcode and by stated interest, which does not identify any Entrant and is not personal information.
14.7 Requests for access to or correction of personal information may be directed to info@americanfootball.org.au
15. Liability
15.1 The Promoter is not liable for Entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, incomplete or not received as a result of technical failure, network fault or any other cause beyond the Promoter's reasonable control.
15.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its officers, employees and contractors exclude all liability for any loss, damage, injury, cost or expense arising out of or in connection with the Promotion or the Prize, whether direct or indirect.
15.3 The Promoter is not liable for any act or omission of any supplier, retailer, manufacturer or carrier involved in the supply or delivery of the Prize.
15.4 Without limiting clause 15.2, the Promoter is not liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim occurring in the conduct of the Draw, in the acceptance or use of the Prize, or arising from the publication of any material in connection with the Promotion.
15.5 The National Football League, its member clubs, its related bodies corporate and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with the Promotion or the Prize.
15.6 Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
16. Amendment and suspension
16.1 The Promoter may amend these Terms. Where it does so, it will take all reasonable steps to notify Entrants and will publish the amended Terms on this page within a reasonable period before the amendment takes effect.
16.2 Where the Promotion cannot be conducted as contemplated by reason of any cause beyond the Promoter's reasonable control, including but not limited to technical failure, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, power failure, natural disaster, civil unrest, industrial action, war, act of terrorism or pandemic, the Promoter may amend, suspend or cancel the Promotion, subject to applicable law.
17. Complaints
17.1 A complaint concerning the conduct of the Promotion or the Prize must be made in writing to info@americanfootball.org.au within 14 days from the close of the Entry Period.
17.2 The Promoter will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and provide a substantive response within 14 days.
17.3 Where a complaint is not resolved, the complainant may refer the matter to the fair trading or consumer affairs authority in their state or territory.
18. Regulatory status
18.1 The Promotion is a game of chance. The Winner is determined by random draw in accordance with clause 6.
18.2 The total value of the Prize is below the threshold at which a trade promotion permit, licence or authority is required in each Australian state and territory in which the Promotion is open. The Promotion is not open to residents of Western Australia.
18.3 The Promoter retains the records required by these Terms for a period of not less than three years after the Draw.
19. General
19.1 The Promoter may disqualify any Entrant who, in the Promoter's reasonable opinion, breaches these Terms, interferes with the entry process, or engages in fraudulent or unfair conduct.
19.2 The Promoter is not bound by any typographical, printing or other error appearing in any advertising or promotional material relating to the Promotion, and may correct any such error at any time.
19.3 If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision is severed and the remaining provisions continue in full force.
19.4 These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
